Registration
A deposit of $350 is required to be paid and is refunded in full when the family gives one month written notice of withdrawal from the centre once the child is enrolled at WPCC. Please note the $350 deposit pertains to full fee paying families only
Once enrollment is confirmed for your child to begin in the centre, the full monthly fee is required to be paid to secure your space, if you choose to withdraw prior to enrollment, this fee is not refundable.
Waiting list Policy
At any time when the Centre is full, a waiting list will be kept on file. Within each category of enrollment (see below) priority will be given to those who have been on the waiting list the longest. If you are interested in placing your child on our list, please email the centre with your child’s name, date of birth, your address, phone number, contact information and we will place your child on the list. Please be aware that our list varies and you may be on the list for a minimum of 1-2 years before you can have a space. Be understanding that there are families ahead of you and/or siblings that may have a space prior to your child’s space on the list.
(Note: the staff or administration will not tolerate abusive or inappropriate language or behaviour) We understand how frustrating it is to find childcare for your family. We will do our best to accommodate you and help you find a childcare solution in our centre or elsewhere.
Priority of Enrollment
Enrollment will be offered on the following priority basis:
PRIORITY GOES TO CHILDREN LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY AND WITHIN SCHOOL/CHILDCARE BOUNDARIES
1. Children enrolled advancing to another age group.
2. Children of WPCC employees.
3. Children of WPPS employees.
4. Siblings of children enrolled.
5. Non-community – children living outside the community.
Please note that:
A child in the childcare (K- grade 6) must also attend WPPS.
Priority of enrollment policy is reviewed annually, or as required, with consideration to (a) and (b) below:
(a) Whether the school has opened or closed boundaries in relationship to school enrollment.
(b) Whether a West Prep Children’s Centre student has withdrawn from West Prep Public School.
Where there are two children of employees of WPCC & WPPS on the waiting list, the child who is a sibling of a child already enrolled in WPCC shall be given preference.
